Chocolate Chip Macaroons

Coconut and chocolate, a combination for the ages!!

This is one of my favorite standby reicpes - How can you go wrong with a recipe that only has 4 ingredients, is extremely easy to make, and is tasty?

Chocolate Chip Macaroons
(from Best Loved Cookies)

2 1/2 cups flaked sweetened coconut
2/3 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 350. Grease cookie sheets.

Combine coconut, chocolate chips, milk, and vanilla in medium bowl; mix until well blended.

Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets. Press dough with back of a spoon to flatten slightly.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Let cookies stand on cookie sheets 1 minute then remove to wire racks to cool completely. (Makes about 3 1/2 dozen)

Hi Robin,
Googled chocolate chip and coconut yesterday - had a craving for coconut -- and made your yummy simple recipe with my 6-year-old boy and 10-year-old mother's helper. We had fun and boy were they yummy! I like that there's no flour or added sugar! Thanks again.
